No, the roll pin attaches the clutch pedal to the cross shaft at the base of the pedal cluster. If you pull back the carpeting by the pedals and remove the wooden board, you'll see the pedal assembly.
The fact that the clutch pedal is sitting lower than the brake makes me wonder if this may not be your problem.
