I just got my hands on a replacement 69-73 911 Fender, I think it may be a Danske part. Anyhow, what steps do I need to take to prep this for paint after the initial fitment on the vehicle?

The part is black from the factory, not sure what this factory coating is. I was thinking degrease, then start with high build primer sand etc... Should I instead start with epoxy primer directly over this black coating?

Any guidance appreciated. Thanks!
