A tip does not suck, it is just not a manual. The choice is one of personal preference.
Tips are not in as much demand as manuals so do not get the same premium. Just as cabs and Targas are not in as much demand as coupes.
They can be converted to a manual but not sure it is justified. If you want a manual just look for a manual.
