If you're on a laptop, sounds like your thumbs are hitting the mouse pad as you type, and moving your entry to where the cursor is "resting." I do it all the time, as my thumbs "float" while I type, and occasionally strike down on the pad.
Easiest fix is to disable the mouse pad.
