That would mean Luca needs to get off the pitwall, STFU and go back to running the company instead of micromanaging the team and pulling publicity stunts. Leaving a race before it ends, even with his team losing, would have been anathema to El Commendatore. I can't imagine how demoralizing that was for the team.
And while I'm disappointed in Kimi too I wouldn't count him out just yet. Remember when everyone said Hamilton's career was over because he decided to go to Mercedes?

I agree at this point but they actually asked him back this Spring (late Winter actually) and Ross was going to go but they didn't want to fire Stefano Domenicalli and give Ross the control he wanted so they went their separate ways. Additionally Ross's wife didn't want to go back to living in Italy.
