My buddy, from grade school, and I ditched work and took a very nice long lunch today. I learned that his little dog was stung and killed by Africanized killer bees.
The dog must have pissed off one of the bees and the whole nest came out and cornered it. It ran but had no where to hide in the yard only to lay there and took it. The neighbors heard the dog's cry and try to somehow get it away from the bees. They too got stung more then 30 times as they ran like hell back into the house. I had no idea that they are here in socal. I heard about them way back in grade school more then 35 years ago that they were making their way up to the us border. Now I am a little worried because I live in the canyon with wide open areas and my little kids play in the back. Any thoughts, bee experts here?
