The only issue I had in removing mine (84 911) was where the yellow starter wire was cut (just under the left side dash where the wire enters the plug that leads to the ignition switch). The wire was too short to solder back together). This is the only wire that will give you real issues as it must be repaired in order to start the car. The others are power, alarm sensors, alarm siren, and grounds. They will not prevent the car from operating.
