Placement of the 944S2 Badge

Just spent three hours measuring and double checking the placement of the 944S2 badge for the back of my 1990 944S2, cab.
After researching and looking at pictures and measuring until I was cross-eyed, I learned some facts to pass along.

Items needed:
Painters tape
Rule in millimeters (Ruler in millimeters)
Extremely thin bladed flat screwdriver, small
944S2 letters to form the badge
Soft towel or cloth
2-3 hours of free time.

Letter Height is 18 mm
Letter Width is 50 mm

The badge (letters) are placed in the vertical center of the Terminal Piece (941 503 627 10) just above the passenger side rear tail light.

Dimensions
The badge 944S is 223 mm long, 18 mm high, so the bottom of the letters should be 40 mm below the top of the Terminal Piece on the left side and 45 mm from the top on the right side. (The Terminal Piece rises toward the right side of the car)
The distance between letters is 7 mm, but the distance to the S is 13 mm from the last 4 in 944. The S is 40 mm left of the junction of the Terminal Piece and the right side section (941 503 626 10)

1. Assemble the needed items on the rear deck of the car, use the soft cloth or towel as a work surface cover.
2. Measure and mark with painters tape the 40 and 45 mm mark from the top of the Terminal Piece, creating a horizontal tape line for reference.
3. DO NOT take off protective covering of the numbers and letters, work with them with the adhesive back covered.
4. Using small pieces of painters tape, tape each number and letter, working from right to left, on the car, bottom of the letters on the top of the tape horizontal line. (S starts 40 mm from the right side section)
5. Here is the time consuming part, back up and look at how the assembled badge will look. Make adjustments until you are satisfied the badge looks horizontal/level and is spaced correctly.
6. Now you can remove the protective backing (white paper) from the back of each letter/number as you use it, keep a small piece of painters tape attached, place each, one at a time and check to see if they follow the horizontal tape line. Hint--the 4's are 18 mm high, so the left side of the 4 needs to be 18 mm from the horizontal tape line.
7. Using the Extremely Thin Bladed Screwdriver, you and carefully pry the letter/number up and adjust as necessary.
8. Now you have the 944S in place.
9. The 2 is placed 13 mm left of the junction between the Terminal Piece and the right side section. It is 4 mm below the S and encroaches about a third of the way under the S.
10. Check for horizontal alignment and attach.
11. Now you can remove the clear plastic protective covering over the letters and numbers, revealing the finished badge.
