sometimes the dim and flicker can be caused by a loose connection that's being vibrated just a tad farther away from it's ground spot than it wants to be.
if that's the case you're looking for a ground that might be only finger tight but looks correct, or a connector that's almost, but not quite, completely clicked together.
if you're lucky, it's neither of those things. it can turn into quite a witch hunt.
maybe it's some built up moisture/corrosion from being in hot, humid Korea, plus the boat ride?
