Hello All,
I just acquired an old 356 engine that has been in storage for 25 years. The owner was the son of a gentleman that operated an independent Porsche shop in the San Jose area.
The story I got was this was installed in the owners car and was pulled when he sold the chassis. The motor was stored in the fathers shop then passed away.
I would assume it will need a complete tear down and overhaul.
I'm completely ignorant to 356 stuff as I've only been bitten by the 911 and 912 bug (as of yet).
I'm hoping some of you can help me ID the engine and help get me the value of the engine as it sits.
Engine number is: 231045.
