I don't recall the last time I had to do any spray out . with BASF they have color max chips they are real spray out done with real paint by real people using real Sata spray guns .
what they do so you don't have to do spray out is offer chips that coincide with the car manufacture color code .
as I was looking up a BMW formula and because the computer is not connected to the net I had to take a photo to post it .
they offer 8 color chips for the code BMW's 854 .
the CMX-number chips are the ones I have so I will now go to the cabinet and pull the 8 chips for that code .
take the sun gun and see what chip looks best .
then mix the formula for that chip and shoot the car and out the door it goes .
on the back of the chips they also tell you if the chip was sprayed in solvent or H2O .
as this car is a 2012 it was sprayed in water and the chips for this color code are also sprayed in water .
