Off Ebay no, I bought an R1100s privately sight unseen (due to flight fares to mainland) but researched by finding out history and ringing where it was regularly serviced, also sellers info workplace etc(he was a pilot). The transport guys know bikes and check right over before touching, noting any marks (to protect their ass also) and will ring if not as described. I wouldn't touch on Ebay unless you can check it out.
