my neighbor is a harley guy and he tells the story about his buddy's bike showing up for sale on a bike selling site (cycle trader maybe?).

problem was, the buddy wasn't selling.
someone shot fotos while it was parked at the beach, and offered it up for sale.

the owner called the guy and threatened to tear him apart if he didn't take it down.
it went poof from the interweb shortly thereafter.
we heard it was some scam that was somehow phishing for japanese buyers.
there was a vintage vw bus scam going on at the same time, also directed at the rising sun.

the only thing i buy over the phone...is pizza.
