There's a reason they're so cheap. Cost of even minor component failures can quickly overtake the value of the entire vehicle. Well built and vault-like durability. But these are getting old and over designed/engineered bits will fail. AC mentioned above that requires agonizing dash R&R is only one example. Suspension is ensconced in rubber that has long since dried, hardened and cracked if not replaced. No small task.
