Windshield trim, side window trim, and door handles were available in black or bright finish through 1979.
Bright finish was standard for '78-79 SC with black being a $200 option. Black is very common because it was often part of an option package.
Bright finish door handles could be ordered separately from black window trim.
In 1980 all 911 models went to Black window trim, door handles, Targa bands.
