This could be great - but it really helps if you are comfortable with wrenching and have a garage space and tools. The SC is a really rewarding car, but there are some basics that will cost some money. What is your timeline? Do you have time to study up on this car, which gives you a chance to ask intelligent questions of the owner?

Or, and this happens a lot, does this guy think he has gold and won't budge? Guess I might not blame him...
