I just read that thread and I'm impressed with that one. They look great and you are right that mine look almost transparent! If I cannot find anything similar I would be very grateful to take you up on your kind offer.

Nice suggestion and I'll definitely give it a shot. I'll probably paint the handbrake lever whilst I am at it too.
