Last summer when I took off to the 1st Rainforest Roundup, I ended up driving through central BC in my 86 when the temps were in the mid 30s (that's C, not F) and my oil temps (with A/C on) were near the bar above the 9 O'clock positon.
Now the "Duh" moment. I never even thought about the fact that the big fat ugly vinyl bra I had on was covering the air intake for the front cooler. The bra is now off, but we haven't had enough hot weather recently to see if it makes much difference. In normal temps, it seems to be running cooler.
