There is a piece of molded foam that inhibits heat from traveling from the engine compartment down the TT and into the passenger cockpit. When Motor Mounts have collapsed, there is a gap created between the foam and the TT tunnel. That's what allows heat to enter along the console. Additionally, when the Transmission mounts are collapsed, the same thing can occur.
Replace your motor mounts.
