Depends what you are doing. Not to dig a pool or septic system, but running pipe, leader drains, planting shrubs it would be fine.
Have a Woods backhoe on a 37hp Kubota. Works fine, biggest pain is swapping seats to move machine.
Keep in mind with a rear attachment, you need weight in the front, and visa-versa.
You probably don't need the hoe, I'd look for a used tractor with a brushog and front bucket.
30+- HP is nice, as is hydrostatic drive. Buy it right, keep it in good shape, and it will hold value.
