Piston rings...any suggestions

Well, I probably won't be able to fully rebuild my engine like I had planned, but I am going to be taking it out and apart because of the windage tray. It is loose...and yes, I know there is a bolt on the passenger side of the engine that is supposed to hold it in place...but I tried playing with that, and my oil leak got worse! So, I am taking the engine out of the car to inspect more.

I was wondering, are there any brands of piston rings that are really good and give a total seal? If so, how much are they...and where can I get some?

Also, about raising the compression on the engine...aren't there metal rings in the head to act as spacers that can be removed without harm?

Anyone have a good set of 2.0L EURO pistons they want to give me while I am at it?

Also, are there any seals out there that are made for our engine that can definitely deal with synthetic motor oil?

I know there are a lot of questions...just pitch in an answer to one or more if you want/can.

Thanks a lot,
Paul
