Yes, you have much more of a challenge in front of you. When I assembled the 968 list I only had 4 years to deal with and the usage of codes was standardized by that time. Granted, there were a lot of them! You've got twice the number of model years and it looks like things changed along the way. That said, I think towards the end of 944 production there is some similarity with the 968s so you'll have some overlap.
