87 switch
I have an 87 and I believe he is correct that the switch is actuated off a pivot just right of the acc pedal. Remove the floorboard and you can likely see it. The pedals pivot from the floor with an actuator up to the clutch slave cylinder. Probably can be seen on the PET diagram also.
Actually, not sure if that switch is from the brake or clutch ?? You'll have to confirm for your car.
