FWIW in the posted picture you will note that the spacer washer and the spring appear to be missing.
Also of bigger concern is the isolating sheath that should be on the tensiong pin is also missing and appears to have chipped off du to being brittle.
The washer fits against the plastic isolator then presses on the spring
