That ICM is needed, it takes a low power signal from the DME and charges/discharges the coil at a much higher power level.

You'll basically have your ignition signal coming from the DME, from pin #1. That needs to go to your ICM. From the ICM, it'll go to the coil. Unsure about wire colors here. You'll also need to figure out ground. Do you have a pinout for the ICM? You probably need a 12v reference voltage, maybe that's what the red wire is for.

I have 2 ICMs from a 928S, let me know if you want one for cheap. I believe it's the same part as the 944S.

If you want to remove the ICM, go standalone you can delete the DME and AFM while you're in there.
