RARE 2001 R1100S ABS "LIGHT" 3,700 MILES. STILL UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY. GARAGED, IMMACULATE, NEVER DOWN. If you like the mechanical aspects of the Boxer Cup, but not the paint scheme, then this bike if for you: these were the original Boxer Cup bike I'm told. A very limited production bike and few were brought into the US by BMW. Built only in 2001 in black with Carbon Fiber nose, front fender, Pillion Cover, Chin Spoiler, fuel tank center cover, Spark plug covers, gravel guard for rear shock and numerous small carbon bits around rear sets and exhaust. About $2000 in Carbon Fiber if you were to purchase it separately. The S "LIGHT" SUSPENSION modifications include the longer Coil over shocks similar to those used in the current Boxer Cup bikes (Yellow coil spring on both shocks) and as a result, these bikes sit a bit taller and do not come with a center stand which weighs 5 pounds (too Short). Wider rear wheel and tire was also part of the package and handle bars (clip ons) were relocated to under the triple clamp for sportier riding position which moves the riders weight further forward for improved handling and transitional response.. OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT includes ABS Brakes, BMW Factory Touring windshield, License plate relocation kit (Relocates plate up and under the pillion and far forward from current position) to clean up the rear end of the bike) Carbon fiber rear wheel "hugger" fender and a complete TWO BROTHERS RACING model C4 performance exhaust system which eliminates converter/pre-muffler and is 17 pounds lighter and increases peak horsepower to 104. FYI-- TBR exhaust for this bike has a much cleaner more mellow exhaust note than the Remus which has a rather raspy note to it). Estimate of curb weight is about 461 pounds as equipped based on advertised weight with stock exhaust of 478. Zero-60 of stock R1100S is 3.86 seconds, this bike feels noticeably quicker; Its a blast to ride. Fresh oil and filter change and recent tires showing virtually no wear. $17,500 new as equipped. Save $$ and ride a truly unique bike that is sure to be collectable in years to come.
