Revisit 930 16" Tire Choices
So had posted a few days ago that I had gotten another 930. This modified slant nose has the original Fuchs (7 and 9") that are restored and I like the look and do not want to move to 17 or 18" inch wheels. So looking for 225/50/16 and 245/45/16 staggered set. Do not want to accept a 245/50/16 substitute. The current options from on line checking are far less than a few years ago. One option since I only drive when dry are Toyo R888R summer tires. Anyone have experience with these? Also interested in other options I may have missed in my search. Thanks.

TireRack have Pirelli PZero Rossos back in stock in those sizes (they had been out of production for a long time but finally emerged again. I just brought a set for my 930 and was really happy to see them available.

I have the R888's. Great tires, lots of grip, good ride, quiet, and when they break away they are very predictable. Won't get many miles out of them but for my use its not a big deal.

Toyo t1r. I ran those a few years back. I recently picked up a set of 8&9 x 16’s and will buy another set.

I have the Toyo's as well and am happy with them. This may sound stupid, but I also really like the tread pattern.

So do I. I ran the T1R 245/45/16 on the front and Goodyear f1 gs 315/35/17 on the rear of our race on the track in the rain. Goodyear didn’t make anything that small, and the tread pattern is very similar.
