Turboing a 3.0 with 3.2 intake?
I have an 82SC, with PMO carbs that I am thinking about turboing.
MY thought was to add a 3.2 intake, would I need the DME if I am going to run aftermarket computer control? |

nope, just whatever aftermarket computer you would like to run... I run Microsquirt. There are many other more complex and expensive units, but mine does everything I want it to do at this point.

Wondering, why do you run 3.2L heads? Also I see you are making 400HP, is that RWHP? and how does your 915 trans hold up to that if you are still running one?

Th 3.2 heads were installed on my engine when I bought the car. It is a huge upgrade for the 3.0 engine. The 400 hp is at the wheels. I had 2nd gear explode on my transmission already, When I rebuilt it, I went with the CMS bearing retainer and it already had the upgraded side cover. You really have to take it easy off the line if you want the transmission to last. Maybe one day I will find a deal on a short bellhousing 930 transmission, but with the prices being asked for them, I will not be buying one any time soon.

My car is in the shop for trans work, so if it's 2nd gear issues aren't to bad I might go for a few upgrades.
I was thinking I might do a 930 trans a t some point if I went the turbo route, but man those prices. |
