NON-930 turbos

What are you running for turbo manifolds?

OBX
OEM 930
Rarlyl8

I am still waffling between a NA build and boost, but still leaning toward the stupid side.

I am still waffling between a NA build and boost, but still leaning toward the stupid side.

It's funny because depending on who you ask, the stupid side changes I thought about N/A for so long... turbo'ing a high comp motor sounded like such a bad idea but I'd do it a 1000 times over based on the result. I knew I'd get tired of "X whp" and want more eventually (ie. right away) and once you've got an N/A engine built and all dialed in, making "more" is not a simple task. With the turbo setup, it's all about turning up the load slowly and incrementally assuming you have the fuel and turbocharger headroom.

Back to the stupid side changing, depending on who you ask... What's stupid to ME is spending 10-20k on an engine build to increase power at most, 25-50% above stock (and that 50% number is being damn well generous). The first 4-5psi of boost you apply will skyrocket you past any other than the most balls-to-the-wall N/A build and is barely a tickle on the bottom end assuming everything else is in order.

I'm running Carrera 3.2 heat exchangers and 930 j pipe on my 3.2L Carrera motor. Easy 300 rwhp 300 rwtq at 0.5 bar with conservative timing.

Yea, I figure the boost rout will lead to be spending a lot more overall because the power is so easy to get to.

The 915 trans would have to go pretty quick in favor of something stronger.

In the end I will have to decide if trying to make a Porsche fast is worth it to me, since they are a fairly high HP pr $ car.

carrera intake and obx exhaust.
I may go back to oem with heat as I think I need to turn down the wik a bit. I'm using a gt35r and efi and I'm not rich so the thoughts of killing my engine/car/me is a bit of a deterrent at this point.

In october last year I cracked up my front bumper and some bbs knockoffs as well as my rear trailing arm while coming onto boost at about 60mph around a corner. Opened my eyes a bit.
My car was running about 20psi or so. It's Powerful....

I love my RarlyL8 headers and hooligan pipe. Eliminated the heat boxes that I didn't need for a much cleaner look.

I run 993 HE with a custom y pipe from Rarlyl8 on one and Mode header w/o heat on another.

I have a set of ghl headers with heat that I am selling cheap. PM me if interested.

Protomotive 1-piece, equal length. No slip joints.

No, they have never cracked surprisingly.
