Hi. Hope all is well in the 930 world. Had a few winter projects now a few questions. Engines out so looking for any trouble. Well the fuel head is weeping fuel between the two halves. This is an 1981 Euro head with metal gasket. I rebuilt the fuel head two years ago and the sealant I used just isn't cutting it. I used Permatex 85420. Are there any proven long term sealants. Also got a leaky coil. Any good replacements that work with stock ignition. Have not herd good things about OEM. And can you Pouder coat rear bumper shocks. Are there any rubber parts inside.

Use 3H aviation sealer thinned with alcohol. Apply a very thin layer with a small brush.

It's pretty common for the home built units to leak. There is also an Indian brand reddish thin adhesive that works pretty well. It has to be spread on very evenly and very thin. If you cannot seal it I keep rebuilt -037 fuel distributors in stock.

Thanks for the feed back. The 3H data sheet looks very promising. I have come across a Permatex Indian head shellac while previously searching if same stuff. Its on my radar.
Thanks |
