Project Resurrection (after 8 years)

So I am finally finding some time to get back on this old project of mine. Its been so long I almost don't remember what parts I have stashed away so every box has a little surprise in in. I figure I should try to put as many parts on the car at this point to figure out what I still need and get rid of some boxes while I'm at it. I have lots to do to be honest.

First project: Rear Brembo Brakes (I did the fronts a few years ago)

Good for you Bill.
I know how this is to have to walk away from your project to take care of and deal with other things. I too have that situation. However, its fun when you get started again.. as you said, making discoveries box after box!

Good luck!

Looks like fun. Keep it going. How long has it been sitting on the Quickjacks?

It’s only been on the quick jacks for a few weeks. I invested in them to make the project a bit easier and efficient. So far I really like them.

and I thought being at 6 yrs on this project was a LONG time.....

curious about the rear calipers. look like SC not 930. my project was an SC converted to a 930 in 1989. guy left the SC suspension and brakes.

just finished blasting to metal. now to do some final grinding, sanding, and cleaning for primer and paint.

in the process of dismantling I got a proper set of 930 calipers along with revalved bilstein F/R shocks and raised spindle RS reinforced front struts.

good luck.

These are SC backs but the car is full of 930 parts from a donor car. Sometime in its early life (before 1984) the car was converted using 1976 930 parts including the suspension, engine/trans. and body parts. The rear banana arms are from a 76 930 as are the brakes. The early 930's (3.0L non IC) cars did not have the big desirable Turbo brakes the 78-on had.
