Cis 3.0 vs 3.3
Just wanted to once again thank all the people who have been helping by lending their knowledge and offering assistance
So my latest dilemma is I have two cis systems a 3.3 that came out of a running and my original 3.0l cis systems what one should I use? I leaning towards using the 3.3 I have gone through both of them and the only difference I can see is the 3.0 has a solenoid to nudge the sensor plate to assist during start up … . so where does this solenoid get its signal to engage ? also both fuel distributors internally and externally appear to be the same other than the part #s I am assuming I can use the 3.3 cis as it has the automatic advance rather than the solenoid advance Other than that they should be the same correct??? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I'd use the 3.3L version. The FD has more capacity and the WUR will enrich on boost. The air meter assembly is also more primitive on the 3.0L version.
