Engine from bikelift to engine stand?

I’m searching ways to make that happen alone and I sold my engine hoist when I moved to a smaller garage. With hoist it was easy but now its some 27cm so about 11inch that I need to raise the engine.

Any ideas?

I could drill a hook on the sealing ( tight space ) and buy a mechanical winch but are there any easier options?

The stand is now 180 degrees turned just for sawing space

Harbor freight lifting table, 1000 lb. i modified the front wheel on the engine stand so I can roll it under the lifting table to make it easier to get the motor on & off the stand.

Huh. $220 seems reasonable, if it's durable.

I've had mine for about 15 yrs with no issues. By taking off the muffler I can slide the motor back far enough that it will also balance/support the tranny. I cut and modified the top bar to work with the lift.

Thanks, No HF here but found a similar table for about 300€. Do you think 30in is enough? I could use some pads to raise it a bit further.

Do you have some wooden blocks under the engine or do you lower it on the headers?

Oh, and now that my engine is already at the insufficient bikestand it need manpower to roll it over so it stand on the enginestand. That will be a scary roll over event. I tried to drill the roof for a hook anchor but only got about inch deep holes which I would not trust for the weight of the engine.

The table height was fine, no additional blocks. I lower it onto the headers.
I would get the lifting table to move the motor from the bike stand to the engine stand. No point taking any chances.
I swapped out the front wheel on the engine stand to a smaller one so I could roll the stand under the lifter table.

I did the hole in the ceiling with a winch approach. Before I sheetrocked the ceiling, I'd loop a nylon strap over a 4x4 laid across rafters and hook the winch on it. Now I have a lifting eye attached to 5/8" all thread through a 4x4 above the rafters.

We managed to swing it with the stand attached to engine tilted. It would have been really hard to move the engine from bike stand to lift table. Space is so limited that I have to open/lift garage door to go around the engine.
