Adding a turbo to a 2.7 to compensate for altitude loss?
Hi everyone, I have a properly rebuilt 2.7 with case inserts head studs etc that has been nothing but reliable but the thing is I live at 9500ft altitude and doing a quick calculation If you lose about 3% hp per 1000ft I'm loosing ~27% hp. So I've been thinking about installing a low psi turbo just to bring it back to stock hp levels, is this just plain stupid or does it make sense to anyone to try this? Any input is greatly appreciated
Best regards Jake
