Let’s talk about spark plugs

Maybe I am not searching correctly, but not finding much on the topic of forces induction and spark plugs.

What are people using and why?

I have Bosch F3CS / NGK BREIX9 The F3CS eem to be discontinued

I’m using Bosch plugs. I’m curious if anyone is using the Bosch motor sport plugs. I hear they are good for more hp. Also is anyone indexing their plugs? Sorry don’t want to hijack the post but this might add to the conversation..

I use BR8EIX on top and DR8EIX on bottom. I replaced them last year for the first time since I finished my engine build 12 years ago.

I use Bosch w3cs on the 3.5 twin plug, and W4cs on the modified 3.3 single plug.

I was running W3DPO's on the top and NGK on the bottom in a twin plug set up. I switched to NGK in all 12 and haven't had any issues. I've used NGK in several vehicles/motorcycles over the years and have been happy with their performance. I change them 1-2 times a year depending on how much I've driven it or when the mood hits me. I don't know the exact part numbers but can get them tonight if needed.

I've recently switched to NGK BKR8EIX, top and bottom, with good results. These also have a smaller hex diameter and makes using a standard spark plug socket easier.

Looks like most of you all are using # 8 heat range plug.

Could you let me know which NGK you are using up top. My car has DR9EIX ( 12mm) on the bottom and would run the equiv 14mm version up top . I have used the BR10eix iridum is 2 stroke racing engines...

Seems to be that compression / timing / boost / fuel / all contribute to plug heat range....so I want to stay oin range with what the builder put in. B F3CS / DR9EIX

The disc Bosch F3CS is apparently a high performance colder plug for WOT. I may need to widen my search to get more options...

Denso IK24 or NGK BKR8EIX for applications with 14mm threads.
No problems.

Rarely run the W3DPO on stock applications, almost always run one heat range warmer, as was done on the 1991-92 964 Turbo. 99% of the cars do not see Autobahn style driving with extended periods under load and high temps. Instead, there's much more stop-and-go, and consequently plug fouling, thus the move to one step warmer plugs.

Looks like the Heat Range 8 / Bosch 4 FTW. I dont think I get to run hard enough long enough to keep the colder plugs clean. As always so much good reading and threads to be read on Pelican.

I was curious why some write BKR8EIX and while i was talking BR8EIX

I looked up the part numbers and there are 3 different terminal types... and with NGK its ...Solid Cap:BKR8EIX and Removeable Cap: BR8EIX and the studded no Cap: CR8EIX

So much for the good ole Copper Top days....everything is simply complicated

Thanks all for the contributions to what is another plug discussion....

NGK BR requires taking the aluminum screw on cap off your old plug if you don’t have resistor plug caps.

The BKR8EIX no longer has a removeable terminal nut.
Why manufacturers have discontinued this feature, we do not know, cannot get an answer from them.

What's the deal with Bosch W-3-DPO prices - $37 a piece?
I like to use original equipment, but gee whiz!
