				WUR leaking Fuel

Hello all, My friend (co-owner of my 930) is on a trip with our 930 and found the WUR leaking fuel from the orange gasket of the body. The only way fuel pass into WUR body is a ruptured diaphragm of diaphragm seal... Have you guys ever encoutered this situation ? Thanks Arnaud

Diaphragm can rupture with age or excess boost. The OE diaphragm is not rated for pressure above 1.0bar.

Yep. When I purchased my adjustable WUR from Brian Leask, he advised I go with “the heavy duty diaphragm option” if I intended to boost beyond stock levels. If your friend is on a road trip, you should try to find someone with one in stock that they can overnight to him where he’s stuck. Leask’s turnaround time, and the tuning you’d need to do with it, don’t lend themselves to a roadside swap scenario. Call Brian (the poster just above this one) to check stock. Good luck.

Fortunately, the car could be stored where the problem happend and I have few NOS WUR in stock (in another city) so we'll go next week to fix it... The failed WUR was a BL one with the HD diaphragm. However, to me the diaphragm on boost side cannot be the culprit, the fuel should be contained into the upper part (steel) of the WUR. If I understood well how WUR are built, either the steel diaphragm has rusted out or its O-ring suffered from age.

I am in the process changing out my WUR> standing at the front door waiting for FED EX shipment from Brian like a faithful pup!! I get what you are saying....the video is not very helpful. I assume you have the stock airbox ? if the WUR was leaking it SHOULD be from the line in , line out or the breather which would go to stock airbox or vent to atmospher / down a hose if thats how you set up. Mine vomitted fuel out the breather. If its the WUR... leaking those are the only places. - is the fuel pooling there butdripping down a fuel line or out of air box? - car sounds like its stumbling from being too rich...one of the indications of aWUR failure. I am no expert...just sharing my experience....If it wur me ......I would disconnect the hose on the breather and see ....I would also look to the fuel line from fuel distributor ... be sure to update us ...good luck
