Removing center console
 

I’m getting ready to replace my shifter bushings. In removing the center console, is there anyway to disconnect all the wiring to the switches, or do you have remove the switches from their respective panels and leave them attached to the wiring?

Also, are there any improved bushings for the shifter? I did the brass bushing mod to the coupler already.

Once I removed the shift knob, I was able to remove the center console without removing the wiring or switches. Took some fiddling, but it's possible.

Ok thanks. I’ll try that and I’ll be careful with AC aluminum tube

I did this, I was able to move most of the wiring and AC controls behind the passenger floor board. I relocated the door lock to under the glovebox. Good luck.
