It's about time.. Finally have a 79 930 :)
Well after a long a grueling search. I finally have a 1979 930 turbo
Took delivery this morning. I'm happy to say that I bought if off a fellow pelican Holycow(Dean thank you!! Great Guy) The car is in need of some TLC at the moment as well as rust repair. It doesn't run at the moment, but sounds like it just needs a few ignition items. As far as what my plans are for this car.. not really sure at this point. First goal is to get it running and enjoy it in the state that it's in. I think since its far from is former glory I would love to have something that's in between stock and track car. I want to get into DE events and open track days, but want to be able to enjoy it cruising through the mountains. Also, if you're in the Denver area and would love to help get it started/go over the car it would be greatly appreciated!! Of course great food and beer will be served. Build thread soon to follow as soon as it starts to warm up!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Isnt the point of an enclosed trailer to keep the snow off the car? Love those wheels.

Nice.
I'm in central Denver. I'm not an expert but have had my car for a couple years and am not afraid of a wrench (multimeter - that may be a different story!). Happy to help if you want extra hands/comraderie.

Well done and congratulations! I'm close,(Coventry off of Bowles), and sold my86 930 after 13 years of ownership in June. Not an expert by any means but do remember a lot of what I ran into with the car and happy to help in any way.

Thanks for the offers guys! I will def be sending out a PM.
The car is green, and I thought it was black when I first saw pics of the car. The green is great looking and really haven't seen to many in this color before which is kinda nice! As for the wheels they aren't CCWs, but a small company that builds race wheels in Florida.. The previous own is hunting down the name of the company for me. They are 17s 315/35rear and 255/40fronts. They are great looking wheels I unsure about them through the pics but will def be keeping now seeing them in person. I will post a couple more cell phone pics to show them |

OMG, don't you realize what you've just done? Haven't you hung around this twisted bunch of hopelessly addicted fanatics long enough to know that you're now relegated to a life-long, life-changing commitment? Screw the wife and the kids (well, the wife anyway), they now hold second place to what your true longings are all about. Sure hope we can help you keep down the straight and narrow road to enjoyment.
OK Jacob, you have all of 6 posts....how do we know you haven't just cut and pasted a couple of picts from some other fortunate dude? Picts, mucho mas pictores, are required to validate your entry into the Twilight Zone. Congrats.....happy for you, enjoy the hell out of her!

Do ppl actually post pics of other cars and pass it off as their own? That seems like a lot of fun for a Ferrari forum Mark!! haha But, as requested.. good and the bad. There are two rust holes in the door well. Not sure my plan of action for that yet.

I love the color looks like if you bought it right a great foundation to build whatever you want.
It would appear there was some repair done on the floor boards and the rust in the jams is not good. I would focus on properly repairing these areas first. The rest will come to you after a few thousand miles. All the best.

Yes, this is the car from Iowa.
I agree its a great foundation for building whatever I want. I will def be looking into repairing the rust properly. It's crazy because looking under the car its clean and these are the only two bad areas. T |

I'll be happy too help if I can. I too am no expert, but have just finished a complete rebuild of my engine, so I at least know what most things look like. Now I've gotta get it off the stand so I can install the clutch and gearbox and finally get this thing back in the car. I'm in Golden, probably no more than 20 minutes or so away. Feel free to send me a PM.
