Anyone know what this connector is for?

Thanks. Should it be connected? I just found it laying there. Just bought the car and started to look it over

Do you have a CDI box? Is car currently running? Do you, likely, have an aftermarket ignition system?

Cheers

Yeah - it won't go if you are running on a CDI box. It is not far from the plug - just in front of the black plastic cover hiding some fuses and relays. Aluminium casting thing with fins on. If the car is going, it is redundant . It plugs in underneath the CDI unit - tight fit.

The car is running and I don't see the box there I also do not see an aftermarket system, I guess I will have to take a closer look maybe the PO mounted a different system somewhere else.

It looks like the plug for the rear window defroster relay which you probably do not have with a Cab.

That would make sense as you are correct as to no defroster.

Has the car had some serious work done to it by a po?
I have a couple of 8 pin CDI boxes mounted under the drivers seat that came with my Twinplug Turbo conversion.

Thanks for the replies. The car is at the detailer right now. When it was delivered the truck blew a hydraulic hose on the lift gate and covered the car in oil. Needless to say I was not very happy when the car was unloaded. But they are making it right, paying for a full detail and said anything else they can do to make it right they will be happy to help. When I get the car back I will take a close look at everything mentioned and try to figure out what exactly is going co with the CDI box and post some pictures of the area where it belongs.
