turboPALOOZA '23!!

A'ight, gentz. Been EIGHT YEARS since our last 'paloozer, seemed time to finagle another Just Not Right schwaray with youzez all'z!!

Alex retired from Long Island life and has graciously offered his bachelor pad in central lakes region NH to host our merry gaggle of idjutz & fewlz - waaaaay cooooool of him.

While he's got room to bunk say 5-6 we won't cap attendance based upon that - either tent it outside or determine local accommodations otherwise. Realistically the best of these events seems to average say 6-10 cars max due to logistics, and every time we put one of these together everyone is in until go time and then they're not and we end up with a perfect core group anywayz.

That said, the plan will look somethin like such:

- Thurs 7/13 evening rendezvous @ Alex's abode
- Fri 7/14 WOT JNR tour of local roads
- Sat 7/15 DE @ Club Motorsports https://clubmotorsports.com/ where Alex is a member $250 includes optional morning instructor
- Sun 7/16 return to our normal mundane innocuous existences

(Fri drive / Sat DE may or may not be flip-flopped... tbd)

The expectation is that if yer local and yer available - YER THERE! The rest of you further away'ers are highly encouraged to join the insanery... hell, I've driven or flown CT to NC fer like 5 of these thus far, time for sommayous to head on up this here way I've been fortunate enough to break bread with soooo mannny of you all here, it's incredible fun to get to meet eachother and hustle our steeds together in anger, then sit back and tell tall talez over a beverage or nineteen. I've made some of my favorite friends from these over the years, and continue to do non-930 stuff with them beyond.

BE.

THERE.

Further details / specifics will be determined as things roll on and the date approaches. Beds to be claimed on 1st come / 1st serve basis - I'll be the first to give mine up in favor of a tent under da starz!

Those who've 'palooza'd... know. Motivational / inspirational pics from 'paloozas covering the past ohhhh FOURTEEN YEARS with YFF's here fer yer general bemusement - Tail of the Dragon / Carolina Motorsports / VIR / Monticello / Roebling Road:

I'd love to go but New Hampshire is a bit far from Texas. Maybe in a few years when I retire!

Hey all you boosted flat 6ers, Alex here. Paul and I have been talking about this. Apologies, I have not been online much. Look forward to all. Cheers. Cigars, whiskey etc is fine at the compound.

Thanks for the memories and photos Paul!! I remember pulling into VIR at dawn (that's me in the last pic at the back with headlights on) among other mostly harmless shenanigans.

Man what an adventure! It seems like ages ago when we did the first one. It was so much fun meeting everyone and doing total turbo takeovers at gas stations and the biker lodge on the dragon. There's not many "OGT'S" still around or maybe I've just been lurking under the radar too long now. Maybe I could put something together a little closer to my part of the country (KY) if anyone's interested. I used to at least see Mike once a year at Oxford but I haven't been to that show or it's replacement for a long time. Hmmmm!

MikeD! Jahmon, yer fine steed is shown prominently in a number of them pics fersuredly... looks soooo goood! Any pics w/ yer new wheels?

Might we coerce ya into joinin us here in July, yes?

Ben, is that you? (1Bad86) Heh, it seems like ages ago when we did the first one, as... IT WAS!!! Try FOURTEEN YEARS AGO! Crykie. I hear ya on the distance, I had to bag out on Blue Ridge Ruckus next month in SWVA as I went to that and to Targa Carolina last year and it's just too far for me right now. Sigh. And, yer right... not toooooo many of us OGT's still around here tho there are at least SOME... seems many retreated to lurk mode here like you. Let's hear from 'em!!

It was fun hanging around with you and your GF/wife at P2O then I'd go up north to IN to hang out with the late Cole. I quit going to P2O after Cole passed away.

I'd love to meet up with you crazy turbo owners way up North East but man that's a looong drive (40 hr non-stop round trip not including going further north to Maine which my wife and I want to visit someday). Problem is I already planned a trip out west to CO & NM this late summer. Back to back long trips would be too much.

Yessir the one and only! I dropped off social media etc about 2 years ago and went full caveman. I need to update the thread i was piggybacking on when I was chasing an issue with my garbage with the solution that I finally found. It only took 1 1/2 years and lots of frustration. Hopefully it'll help the community a bit.
I've got some projects going I'm tinkering on with it now and a target of mid June completion.
I was serious if there's any interest with the southern turbo pelicans about putting something together. Hell I'd like to return to the surrounding areas of the dragon again.

^^^ Do share your experience solving your issue whatever that was. As for a get together...as you know it ain't easy to get turbo owners to put miles on their cars as I found out a couple years ago.

Paul...sorry for thread jack! I forgot to say that I haven't got more photos of my car with new wheels.
