Restoration has started

Starting out slow. Fixing issues mainly electrical and accumulating body parts gonna keep an eye out for drivetrain items is where I am gonna start. I now teach at a college that has a large auto collision program so I am going to see if they will take the body and paint on as a project.

Nice, what is the state of the car you're starting with? Have you already posted a threat on it?

Yeah I have several threads on here showing the car and to be honest wouldn’t be doing this restoration but I and the painter didn’t properly neutralize the car after soda blasting and now the paint is popping off down to bare metal so I have to do something

Sure enough it was froze up big time taking the door apart the window switch broke but new switch is ordered and I have confirmed the motor I installed works. So I can put the door back together and wait on the switch. So progress is made

Well, Not exactly the same but when you watch my thread "another rust combat" then you can see we're in the same boat (just different sizes)

Feel free to ask if you like to know something about treatments, got a lot of expiriences and trial by errors since 20years of project

But at the end we all will be happy, right?

I am in luck I think I teach at a college now with a huge auto collision dept and I think I can get them to do the paint for me in their state of the art paint booth

Can't really help but it does look purple. What color are you going for? Do you have a sample.
