1982 240D (W123) Tuern Signal and Centre Console Lights Issue
I removed the centre console to clean its years-old sitting dirt .
I do not remember removing any ground wire. I changed all the bulbs of the centre console lights, including the web bulb for the fibre optic lights. After changing the centre console lights came for a second, then it disappeared and never came back. Also, the turn signals do not work. I hear rattle sound on the left turn signal only. But, there is no rattle sound and light on the right turn signal. I would appreciate your help. |

Hello, Electrical connection issue: When removing the center console, it's possible that a ground wire or another electrical connection may have been inadvertently disconnected or not properly reconnected. Check all the electrical connections in the area where you worked to ensure they are securely connected.
Bulb installation: Double-check the bulb installations to ensure they are properly seated and making good contact. Make sure the bulbs are the correct type and wattage for your vehicle. Faulty bulbs or wiring: It's possible that one or more of the new bulbs may be faulty or there could be an issue with the wiring related to the center console lights. Inspect the bulbs for any signs of damage and consider testing them with a known working light source if possible. Turn signal relay or wiring issue: The rattling sound and non-functioning turn signals could indicate a problem with the turn signal relay or wiring. The relay may need to be replaced or there could be a loose or damaged wire in the turn signal circuit. mykfcexperience Last edited by Harrietharrison; 06-06-2023 at 09:12 PM.. |
