New custom made headers for the 78 930

I have been having problems with my headers and finally threw in the towel on them and had a friend make me some new ones doing away with the bad issues of the stock ones. All new from heads to turbo.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1688412733.jpg

Wow, nice!

Wow indeed!

Thanks!
I switched it from a cable operated clutch to hydraulic operated one and the aftermarket mount for the slave cylinder that is commonly used puts the slave cylinder so low I drug it many times. If you look close, he made a much better slave cylinder mount for the clutch that brought it up much higher than it was before.

That’s a pretty cool hydraulic clutch setup.

What are you using for the clutch pedal? Modified stock assembly or did you retrofit a factory hydraulic pedal cluster?

The ID of the primaries, coming right from the heads is 40MM/ 1.5 inches.
The engine was put together in 1986 by 'Andial' they did a lot of modification's, and there are a lot of aftermarket parts and non 930 stuff on it.
I have no paperwork on what they did. I can see they drilled? the heads for a second plug and I was told there is a oil passage made for the exhaust guide. They might not even be 930 heads; the heads might have come that way from Porsche that way?
I am not sure of the port size. I just do not know

I used a stock Carrera unit from a G50 car, it was pretty straight forward as it bolted in, then I shoved the unflared hydraulic line through the clutch cable tube to the pedal assy. the hard part was standing on my head to flare the end of the tube, Luckly it worked first try and no leaks.
The clutch pedal is just as hard depress, but it now can be released smoothly.
