Boost pressure sending unit - thread size?

Hi guys, since installing a mechanical gauge, I sold my electric gauge and sensor (not an original 930 car, so non-original).

I was planning to remove both this weekend but was hoping to have a plug ready to stick back in the intercooler in advance. Any idea what the thread size might be for the sending unit? Thanks in advance!

Nope. Just take it with you to your local store and match up the threads.

Thanks, Mark - that was backup plan. After reflecting on multiple hardware store trips mid- DIY home improvement project, I was hoping to avoid. This seems east enough though (famous last words?)

This is a timely thread for me. My 964T intercooler has some beat up threads at that opening.
So, I need to buy an appropriate sided thread chaser. I just tried to match it up but neither HD
or Lowes has the correct sized thread gauge. Biggest they go is M14. I actually thought the size was M16x1.5 so thanks for the info. Hopefully I can get it to hold pressure. If not, my thought is to smear some JB weld on the threads. If that or the thread chaser don’t work I’ll look into a Time Cert

Glad I could help. As sigchuck stated, it's the same thread size as an O2 sensor. An O2 sensor thread chaser will work fine for cleaning up the threads...provided your threads aren't too buggered up.
