ignition rotor

So my 930 rotor is chewed out - the lug inside the body has disintergrated.

The part # is 930-602-901-01-M14
But it seems NLA

It looks like this

How do I find a replacement?
What else would work.?
This one has 1.1 stamped on it - which I take to be the resistance.
I am using the stock ignition system.
Thanks
Alan

I assume that is a rpm limiting rotor, will a later 930 one work? I can measure one up if req. I think the later 930s used a different method for limiting rpm though.

I have found one in the UK.
I will order it - can't make that site work.
Just that I read a bunch of threads and some said an SC one will work. Just trying to make sense of it. Pelican list SC ones for like $20. 930 ones NLA.
I will check my SC one when I get back - but I don't think it is the same.
When I did searches I found rotors up to -'79, and from like '86 onwards and nothing in the gap. So it left a few Q's as to what is suitable.
The later 930s I think had a different ignition system also, so maybe the resistance is different.
There seems to be quite a bit of conflicting info on them.
Regards
Alan

The gap means nothing.930 was not imported to USA In those years so the missing years are not listed. I run a 1981 all the same.

Oh that explains why I can't load my car into the website, and search for parts for it.
They stock one with 6600 cutout. Mine is 7000, but 6600 is OK by me.
Thx
Alan

Whats the difference between an SC rotor rev limited at 6600 and a 930 rotor of similar spec?
Just pinched the SC rotor for my 930 - looks the same. Different part # 1234332 196 vs 223.
Both 5K ohm rotors.

Thanks, I have ordered one from Pelican.
But the part numbers are real confusing. Pelican lists it as 930 602 901 05 and Aase as .....04 and 01.
I am not clear on what the difference is with the SC ones - but they have different part numbers.
What is the difference in pre and post '86 model 930's. the ignition systen has changed I think?
Regards
Alan

From what I have read on Pelican, when the 930 was sold again in USA in 1986 with equipped Catalytic converter, they changed to turning off fuel pump relay vs ignition to prevent over rev. With the ignition shut off un-burnt fuel would enter the cat and likely damage it. I have not tested this over rev prevention on mine.

Alan, do you spend more time on the track or looking for parts? Could switch to racing a Ross 930 should be a couple around there, get a spare mast though.

I have generally had a great run from it - constantly upgrading small things, tweeks etc.
I rebuilt the engine some yrs ago, then fitted new P/Cs about 5 yrs ago - chasing issues - that finally resided in the new rebuilt turbo. I rebuilt the gbox a few yrs back, then fitted a liteweight clutch last yr.
During the 20 somethiung yrs on the track, no mechanical failures.
But endless gremlins - derived from a 40 yr old wiring loom, relays, plugs, switches etc. The latest one was the green wire. That has lead to a downward slide while trying to cobble a system together to keep racing.
I fear now I may have my first engine failure. About to do a leakdown.
Its only the kids inheritance after all.
Regards
Alan
