1987 930 Another Quiet(er) Twin Pipe Exhaust

Read the recent post and response to a quiet(er) 930 exhaust. I believe my new to me twin exhaust muffler is a BBE. Sounds really good but the droning is terrible from 2000 to 3000. I've seen some nice examples of non-droning single exhaust but was wondering if anyone has twin pipe non-droning muffler options. Non-droning is main issue. Thanks.

BBE really knows how to create drone! I don't think my buddy's zork tube droned at all, but it was crazy loud.

I had a B&B twin exhaust on my first 930. Loved it, did not drone at all. Maybe they changed their manufacturing process over the years. I bought it used back in '05 and ran with it for several years before the tragic demise of my car. Currently running a single out Borla...sounds good but a bit more docile than the B&B.
I salvaged it, and still have it. One of these days I should list it for sale.
Correction: it's not a twin exhaust but rather right side exit. The left exit on the valence looks like a matching exhaust tip but is actually the waste gate exhaust.

Is BBE the same as B&B?

I have a single out Billy Boat exhaust for mine and its great. I actually thought of putting it back on instead of the 2-out Hooligan as the Hooligan is loud, drones at some RPMs and is a bit tiring to drive for long periods.

If the Hooligan is too loud that muffler body can be swapped out for the street version muffler body. You don't have to buy a whole new muffler just the muffler body.

Also none of our 930 mufflers should drone. You might want to check your AFRs as we can actually produce a drone-like sound by playing with the idle mixture. I found that our while doing the seasonal CIS idle mixture tweak.

It tends to drone at steady state cruise in a narrowish band somwhere in the low 3,000 rpm range, haven't identified it specifically.
