I have megasquirt 3 so they would need to be compatible with that

Toyota 90919-02246 .. The set I got is a knock-off which I got for about $70 for 6 pcs, I thought I will first use knock-offs so if I did something wrong (excessive duel, driver burn .. etc) its cheap to replace and eventually I will get the OEMs, surprisingly and after about 3 years they still running fine.

If you want to be certain to get the right ones, check with Chris at TurboKraft, they sell Smart Coils that just need a signal wire to fire. The Dumb Coils need the HC (High Current) output from the ECU to drive them.
I found trying to order COP's from various internet suppliers had mixed results and were sent slightly different p/n's that 'should' work. They're not cheap either: In the $60-$120 range each depending on who sells them to you. You're looking for this p/n: 90919 02234 but it may have been superseded by what Kamaro is using -02246. This is a smart coil. This is different than the 'dumb coil' which is used with the HC outputs on the MS3Pro EVO+ HC Here's a link talking about COP ignition here on the forums: https://forums.pelicanparts.com/911-930-turbo-super-charging-forum/812272-cop-ignition.html

I am running 12 Toyota 90919-02246 COPs in my 3.6 (not turbo) and they have been faultless for 15 years. Cheap too.
You will need Toyota connectors 90980-11885. I cut the mounting lug off the top row of COPs 'cos it isn't necessary to hold them in place and looks neater, but fabbed a mounting strip to hold the bottom COPs in place. ![]()

Here's a link to the differences in most of the COP's that we'd use (on all but 3.6L).
https://www.newera.co.jp/en/product/communication_site/pdf/419.pdf If you want it to look pretty, you'll need two different part numbers because of the angle of the connector on the -02246 coil. When installed on some of the cylinders, the angle becomes more obtuse and gets the harness hanging out in mid-air. Can be a problem with a twin turbo setup on the lower coils. |

I am using Bosch COP's for my build. Simon from Motec recommended them (his email is below with data on the coils). I will simply use modified OE lower plug wire retainers to hold them in place.
From Simon Wagner (Motec)_____ "here's something I have had a number of our Porsche-centric dealers use with success: Dual Bosch 0 986 221 024 coils on one output Dwell 1.7ms for 10.4A at 14v Overdwell is 19.2A Coils are said to fit a Porsche twin plug head perfectly (they fit mine perfectly) Pin-out 1 = switched Ignition Power 2 = logic ground 3 = EST signal 4 = Igntion High Curent Ground 8v = 7.0ms 10v = 3.0ms 12v = 2.2ms 14v = 1.7ms 16v = 1.4ms 18v = 1.2ms

@gsmith660, these only require a logic signal that would normally go to an ignitor, so I don't see why not if the MS3 has an ignition logic output.
