Which vacuum lines? The ones that go to WUR? You can put one-way valve on them but OEM 3.0 CIS will bottom out quickly when you start fiddling with boost.

well I am not going for a lot of boost ( slippery slope i know ) but as far as the wur a one way valve will work ??
I have been told that a standard CIS will support 300 hp....I for certain do not know its limits w.o. it having some mods

George,
Just do it!!! Enough debating about it. Time to turbo it. Do not worry about your CIS and what it can or cannot do. As long as your fuel pump, injectors, and spark plugs are firing, you are good to go. No joke. I took my factory WUR and tossed it, and did ZERO mods to my fuel head and then installed a DigiWUR from Chris at TurboKraft and am making 349 RWHP at 1 Bar (thats 400 @ the crank) with a K-27-7200 from a 3 ltr. (I do have twin plug heads) It runs as FAT (rich) as I want with adjustment as easy a a quick input on a Palm Pilot. Many people speak of the need to modify the fuel head, but we just did not experience what everyone spoke of with regards to lean numbers as RPM increased. The Dyno tuning really was crucial in our setup of our A/F numbers, and Chris Carroll now has all of these numbers available for any future projects. In fact we have damn near EFI level adjustment from CIS and expect to see 400 RWHP or 456 at the crank with a ball bearing Garrett GT-30R installed. Should have it installed and dyno'ed by Feb. '07, keep you posted. Bryan |
