'87 with 32K miles..valve adjustment time??
OK ..so the manual says that the valves should be adjusted at 30k miles. I have slipped past this milestone.
The valve train sounds perfect ..no noises that would concern me.. I have put 8K miles ( two oil changes) on her over the last year and a half since I got her.. The car is stock..... always proper warm-up B4 getting on boost, and I generally dont push her past 6200rpm ( rod bolt issue). I don't know if the PO ever had the valves adjusted.. then again he barely drove the car. What are your thoughts on how far one should let this go... Thanks

I would have them adjusted, since you have no idea of the car's service history. You never know what a previous owner did.
I met a guy about a month ago who bought a 911 new, back in 1984. The car now has mileage similar to yours. He was actually proud of the fact that he had only changed the oil in it a few times and hadn't done much, if anything, else. It was perhaps the worst condition Carrera I've ever seen. It looked like a parts car. The guy was an idiot. JR

I concur... no harm in having them checked by a pro to confirm their clearances. I plan to do my own for the first time soon
