I wonder if those 934 flares would look good on my slant nose and maybe a 934 bumper. Any thoughts anybone?

More progress. Removed the factory 1" spacer (which will go to the front) and installed a set of 2" spacers on the rear to try to fill up these fender wells...won't really know until we get it back on the ground and mount the proper size tires, but it is getting better. Also Dave got the front flares mounted. does anyone go all out and mount the fan on the top? That would be Bad Ass!!

That's a good question...anyone got one...better yet, would it fit with my ITB set up and top mounted intercooler?

It would seriously draw air through a top mounted intercooler.

I've been told the top mounted fan can take as much as 20hp from the engine to spin.

Looking good Cleve, that bodywork requires some serious motor:)

Do you know what size throttlebodies those are?

gtu935 04-11-2007 05:58 AM

The throttles are 41mm. If you times that by 6 that's a lot of air volume.

A used top mounted fan setup, if you could find one is about $10,000
Two reasons why my car doesn't sport a lovely top mounted fan.

I love the pictures. keep them coming. I'll post some engine build pictures when all the parts are back

I was pretty certain these pics were from John Holt's shop.... He is the best choice around here for this conversion - his attention to detail is over the top.

When it's time to paint my slantnose, it will be in his shop.

Your project looks very nice. Are these the 14" flares? I"m doing my motor currently, and the flares will be next on the list. Keep the pictures coming.

cgmeredithjr 04-29-2007 07:07 AM

Yep, 14" rear flares from AIR.
